About Us
Mike Healy is the founder and owner of Healy Renovations and General Contractors.
Mike first studied his trade in Ireland and brought his fine artisanship in carpentry and his passion for the business to the United States, and has been in the building industry in the U.S. for the past 30+ years. His extensive experience includes major high-end projects in New York City in areas such as Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and Brooklyn’s architecturally acclaimed Park Slope. Mike’s dedicated experience in serving Chicagoland’s diverse real estate market includes properties in Chicago’s North Shore and Gold Coast, as well as Oak Park’s Frank Lloyd Wright homes. He is currently concentrating his efforts in the western suburbs of Riverside, LaGrange, Brookfield, Western Springs and LaGrange Park

RENOVATOR VS. NEW CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR? IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?
We, at HRGC, completely understand that there is a huge difference between new construction and renovation. In new construction, it is like building a home without any obstacles. Whereas a renovator must be able to meld the new space with the existing structure while often being able to navigate the obstacle course that older homes sometimes present. Ideally, the additional living space will appear to have been there from the inception of the home’s design. Renovation requires an experience far beyond the cookie cutter new construction methods.
Fortunately, owners Mike and Pam Healy, have 60 years combined experience in such navigations. We have a proven track record in successful design renovations and additions.
